Give your video a polished, studio-quality look by customizing the background and layout.

Background Options

The background is the canvas behind your screen recording. You can customize it in the Inspector Panel under the Background section.

• Solid Color: Choose a flat color that matches your brand.
• Gradient: Select from preset beautiful gradients for a modern look.
• Image: Upload a custom image (e.g., abstract pattern, office setting) to use as a backdrop.

Layout & Inset

By default, your screen recording might fill the entire frame. Using the Inset feature creates a "padding" around your video, revealing the background behind it.

Adjusting Inset (Padding)

• Increase the Padding slider in the Inspector.
• This shrinks your video slightly, creating a border of background around it.
• Why use it? It makes the video feel less cramped and allows space for captions or stickers outside the main content area.

Styling the Video Frame

When using Inset mode, you can style the screen recording container itself:

• Roundness: Soften the sharp corners of your screen recording.
• Shadow: Add a drop shadow to lift the video off the background, adding depth.
• Elevation: Control the intensity and spread of the shadow.

Video Cropping

Remove unwanted parts of your screen recording to focus on what matters. This is especially useful for hiding:

• Browser tabs and address bars
• System taskbars or menu bars
• Sensitive information (notifications, personal data)
• Distracting UI elements

How to Crop

1. In the Inspector Panel, find the Crop section.
2. Adjust the crop values for each edge:
   • Top: Remove pixels from the top (e.g., browser tabs)
   • Bottom: Remove pixels from the bottom (e.g., taskbar)
   • Left/Right: Remove pixels from the sides
3. The video preview updates in real-time as you adjust.

💡 Tip

Combine cropping with Inset Mode for a professional look: crop away the browser chrome, then add padding and a shadow to make your content pop.

💡 Design Tip

For a popular "social media" look:

1. Set a colorful Gradient Background.
2. Add Padding (Inset) to around 20-40px.
3. Increase Roundness to 12-16px.
4. Add a strong Shadow.
