ð Using the Waveform
The audio waveform on the timeline is a powerful visual guide.
- Find Silence: Flat lines indicate silence. Use these spots to make cuts or speed up the video.
- Sync Visuals: Align sticker appearances or zooms with "spikes" in the audio (e.g., when you say "Look at this!").
ðš Theme Customization
Screentell comes with built-in themes to match your mood or brand.
- Click the Theme Icon (Sun/Moon/Palette) in the top bar.
- Choose from Slate (Default), Screentell (Brand Red), or other available themes.
- This changes the UI accent colors, making the editor feel fresh.
ð¥ Smooth "Pan & Scan"
To create a smooth camera movement that follows your mouse or attention:
- Zoom in to 1.5x or 2x at the start of the action.
- Play the video.
- Whenever the action moves to a new part of the screen, pause and click the new area on the preview.
- Screentell automatically creates the smooth transition between these points.
- Pro Tip: Set the Motion Style to "Smooth" for a cinematic feel.
â¡ïž Fast Exporting
- WebM exports are generally faster and smaller, perfect for quick sharing on Slack or Discord.
- MP4 takes a bit longer but is compatible with everything (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube).
ð Text-Only Annotations
Want to add text without a box?
- Add a Rectangle Sticker.
- Type your text.
- Set Border Width to 0.
- Set Background to Transparent (or match the video background).
- Now you have floating text!
