Record your screen, your camera, or both

Recording setup is now more flexible, with clearer entry points for screen-only, camera-only, and picture-in-picture workflows.

New

  • You can now start a recording in three modes: Screen only, Camera only, or Screen + camera.
  • Camera-only recordings now open in the editor as a normal primary video, so they work with the same editing tools and export flow as screen recordings.

Improved

  • Recording setup is cleaner, with the main action shown directly inside the preview area instead of repeating the same prompt in multiple places.
  • Screen-only recordings can keep microphone audio on its own editable track in the timeline.

EditorTimelinePerformance

Longer edits are easier to work with

The editor now handles longer recordings with a more practical timeline view, clearer time formatting, and a lighter startup path.

Improved

  • Long recordings now open in a timeline view that prioritizes editability instead of squeezing everything into an unusably small scale.
  • Timeline time displays now use normal clock formatting, so longer recordings are easier to read at a glance.
  • Editor startup work has been reduced by deferring or trimming heavy background tasks like waveform generation and paused-state redraws.

Fixed

  • Timeline previews are more reliable for newly recorded and recovered videos, including longer WebM-based recordings.

RecordingReliability

Long recordings are more resilient

Screen recordings now hold up better over long sessions, and unfinished captures are more likely to be recovered after a browser crash or forced close.

Improved

  • Long recordings now save progressively during capture instead of depending only on one large in-memory result at the end.
  • If the browser closes unexpectedly, the recorder can now try to recover the unfinished capture the next time you return to the recording page.
  • Deleting a project now also cleans up its stored recording assets more reliably.

EditorPerformanceMotion

Faster timeline previews and more reliable 3D motion

The editor now opens recent recordings more reliably, builds timeline previews with a faster media pipeline, and keeps rounded corners consistent in 3D motion scenes.

Improved

  • Timeline thumbnails are now generated with a media-processing pipeline that is more reliable for newly recorded and recovered videos.
  • Recent recordings are normalized before opening in the editor, which improves seeking, preview quality, and timeline coverage.
  • 3D motion previews now preserve rounded corners more consistently instead of dropping them during perspective transforms.

Fixed

  • The editor can now continue opening more projects even when an optional camera layer asset is unavailable.

Picture-in-picture recording controls

Keep your recording preview and stop control visible while you move between tabs and windows.

New

  • Supported browsers can now open a floating recording preview so you can keep the capture in view while working elsewhere.

Improved

  • Stopping a recording is easier because the preview and timer stay close to where you are already looking.

  • The walkthrough gives extra attention to Motion and Sticker tracks so advanced edits feel easier to approach.

Reusable editing templates

Save time by applying a prepared layout, camera, and motion setup instead of rebuilding the same edit style from scratch.
