Face Cam Layer

Personalize your screen recording by adding your webcam feed. Screentell treats the face cam as a flexible layer that you can customize and animate.

Basic Controls

Positioning & Resizing

• Move: Click and drag your face cam to any position on the screen.
• Resize: Drag the corner handles to make it larger or smaller.

Shape & Style

Use the Inspector Panel to change the look of your camera bubble:

• Shape: Switch between Circle, Square, or Squircle (Rounded Square).
• Flip: Mirror the video horizontally if needed.
• Border: Add a colored border to make it pop against the background.

Animating the Camera (Advanced)

Just like the screen content, the face cam can be animated using keyframes. This is useful for moving your face out of the way of important content.

1. Select the camera layer (click on it).
2. Scrub to a new time on the timeline.
3. Move the camera to a new position.
4. A Camera Keyframe will be automatically created.
5. Screentell will smoothly animate your face from the old position to the new one.

Hiding the Camera

If you want the camera to disappear completely for a section:

1. Add a keyframe where you want it to vanish.
2. Toggle the Visibility (Eye icon) in the Inspector.
3. To bring it back, add another keyframe later and toggle visibility on.
