A good SaaS demo helps someone recognize a problem and see the result. Plan one short workflow before recording: open the relevant screen, perform the action, then pause on the outcome. Use sample accounts and remove private customer information before capture.

Record, edit and export in your browser
1. Capture the workflow
Open the recorder, choose Screen only or Screen + camera, and select a browser tab, window or entire screen in the browser permission dialog. Add microphone narration if needed. Tab or system audio depends on the browser, operating system and capture surface; make a short audio test before the full take.
Already have a recording? Import a local video from Projects and edit it instead. You do not need to re-record the same workflow.
2. Make each step easier to follow
Cut mistakes and waiting time. Add manual Focus Zoom points where a small button or result would otherwise be difficult to see. Use 3D transforms for perspective and motion, and add arrows, text or shapes to explain a specific detail.
Choose the timing yourself: Screentell's Focus Zoom is an editing control, not automatic click detection. When you record screen and camera together, the camera remains a separate layer you can move, resize or hide after recording.
3. Preview and download the finished video
Watch the selected export range, check the narration and make sure labels remain readable at the intended viewing size. Export MP4, WebM or GIF using the options supported by your browser and device. Download the result and upload it to your website, video host or social platform yourself.

Keep the recording on your device
Recording media is processed and stored locally in the browser. Download a copy of finished work: browser storage is not a permanent backup, and clearing site data can remove local projects. Frequently asked questions
Can I make a product demo video for free?
You can start recording and editing for free. The published Screentell Free plan lists watermarked exports up to three minutes per video. Check the current pricing section for paid export options before planning a longer project.
Does Screentell create zooms automatically?
You add and adjust Focus Zoom and 3D motion in the editor. This gives you control over timing and composition; it is not automatic click-based zoom or cursor smoothing.
Can I record my face and the product together?
Yes. Choose Screen + camera. After recording, the camera layer can be moved, resized or hidden independently of the screen video.
Can I use it on Windows or Linux?
Use a supported Chromium desktop browser such as Chrome or Edge where available. Recording and export depend on browser permissions, codec support and your device. Mobile screen recording is not the supported workflow.
Will I get a shareable hosted link?
The workflow described here ends with a downloaded video file. Upload that file to your own website, video host or social platform to share it.
